Dr. Kinsky joined the College of Fine Arts and Humanities at West Texas A&M in 2011. She received a B.A. in the University Scholar program at Baylor University in 1993, an M.A. in Mass Communication from Texas Tech University in 1995 and a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from Texas Tech University in 2008.
Dr. Kinsky serves in the Department of Communication. She teaches Media Design, New Media, and Qualitative Research Methods.
She is a member of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, where she serves as the head of the Public Relations Division. She is also a member of the Public Relations Society of America, National Broadcasting Society, American Advertising Federation, and the Commission on Public Relations Education. She is the associate editor for the Journal of Public Relations Education and is on the editorial board for the Journal of Public Relations Research. Dr. Kinsky has been named to the Fulbright Specialist Program.
In the Department of Communication, she serves as a co-adviser for the WTAMU chapters of the Public Relations Student Society of America, American Advertising Federation, and the National Broadcasting Society.
Dr. Kinsky’s research interests include the portrayal of public relations in the media, crisis communication, social media and the use of media by children.
Dr. Kinsky enjoys time with her husband and two children.
