Dr. Hennington joined the College of Education and Social Sciences in 2010. She received a B.A. in education from the University of Central Arkansas in 1994, an M.A. in special education with an educational diagnostician certification from Texas Tech University in 2003 and an Ed.D. in special education from Texas Tech University in 2010.
Teaching and Related Service
Dr. Hennington teaches methods for special education, behavior management and assessment courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Dr. Hennington has presented numerous state and national workshops. She continues to consult with schools regarding assessment of students diagnosed with disabilities and families of children with special needs.
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Hennington’s research interests include Response to Intervention (RTI), the assessment of at-risk students and distance learning.
Personal Sketch
Dr. Hennington lives in Lubbock, Texas with her husband Chris and their two children, Emma and Alex. She enjoys traveling with her family and trying out her culinary skills.
