The West Texas A&M University Educational Leadership Program prepares confident, skilled, and reflective leaders of education to pursue excellence and make powerful and lasting impacts in their communities. This program's degree and certification options include the Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree, Texas principal certification, and Texas superintendent certification.
Educational Leadership candidates can expect the following:
High Quality Curriculum
Meaningful and relevant online course work and practical field experiences aligned to national and state standards providing a balanced blend of theory, research, and practice to enhance the educational leadership development.
Value – Added InstructionProfessors who are certified and experienced Texas public school leaders, facilitating instruction grounded in theory and research and informed by years of practice in mid-management and executive leadership positions.
Flexibility for Candidates
Fully online degree and certificate programs with selected courses offered on seven-week, half semester bases.
Priority registration for currently enrolled program candidates opened on April 3. Regular registration for opens on April 24.

Spring School Board Workshop
The Spring School Board Workshop--a collaborative effort of the WTAMU Educational Leadership program, TASB, and ESC 16--hosted annually on the WTAMU campus is scheduled on May 17. Information about the workshop and online registration is available on the Annual Spring School Board Workshop web page.
The application deadline for the August graduation is July 1.
