Don Clewett Instructor of Mathematics Office: Classroom Center 416 A Email: dclewett@mail.wtamu.edu Phone: 806-651-4253 Professional Profile Don Clewett joined the Department of Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics in 2010 as a part-time instructor and became an instructor of mathematics in 2012. Prior to joining the faculty at WT, he was an instructor at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kan., and also held various positions in industry. He received a B.A. in history from the University of Arizona in 1990 and a M.S. in mathematics from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in 2006, where he also has completed coursework toward a Ph.D. in applied and industrial mathematics. Teaching and Related Service Mr. Clewett teaches various developmental and core mathematics courses, including liberal arts mathematics, business mathematics, college algebra and calculus I and II. Research Interests Mr. Clewett is interested in all areas of applied mathematics and in teaching quantitative reasoning and quantitative literacy. Personal Sketch Mr. Clewett lives in Canyon with his wife, Cathy, and son, Murphy. He enjoys hiking and fly fishing and spending time with family. |
