Professional Profile

Ms. Meador joined the Department of Life, Earth and Environmental Sciences in 1988. She received a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry and a M. S. in Biology from West Texas A&M University in 1981 and 1988, respectively.  

Teaching and Related Service

Ms. Meador teaches General Biology, Non-Majors Biology, Applied Microbiology and Integrated Earth Science. She has also taught Microbiology, in addition to: Hematology, Medical Micro, Environmental Micro and Ecology Labs.

Research and Creative Activity

Ms. Meador’s research interests are in the area of Microbiology.  She is an advisor for Pre-Med, Pre-Dental and Secondary Science students in Biology at WTAMU.  She co-sponsors Tri Beta National Biological Honor Society and belongs to the Panhandle Archaeology Society.

Personal Sketch

Ms. Meador lives in Sunday Canyon adjoining the State Park.  She has two children and four grandchildren.  She mostly enjoys life with plenty of photography, birding, long hikes in the Canyon and, teaching water aerobics!  She serves on the board of Partners in Palo Duro Canyon, a non-profit organization of volunteers who raise money to support the park.
