He received a B.S.B.A. from East Carolina University in 2002, a MBA from East Carolina University in 2003 and a Ph.D. in management information systems from Florida State University in 2008. Teaching and Related Service Dr. Furner has experience teaching advanced applications development, essentials of management information systems, electronic commerce and systems analysis and design. He has served as managing editor for the Communications of the Association for Information Systems, as president of the Florida State University Doctoral Business Student Association, financial officer for the Florida State University Congress of Graduate Students, and as a reviewer for a number of journals and conferences. Research and Creative Activity Dr. Furner’s research focuses on cultural determinants of various information systems outcomes. His research has been presented at the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, the America’s Conference on Information Systems, the annual meeting of the Southern Association of Information Systems, and several consortia and colloquia.
