Professional Profile

Landon received a B.B.S. in Speech and Hearing in 1981. She added Early Childhood and Kindergarten endorsements to her Texas Educator Certificate in 1986 and Elementary Education and Special Education endorsements in 1995. She received her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from West Texas A&M University in 1999 and continued to add graduate coursework to her vitae through 2015. Landon also holds a state-license as a Speech/Language Pathologist. She first joined West Texas A&M University as a part-time instructor in 2005. Landon joined the College of Education and Social Sciences as a part-time instructor in 2013 and was appointed as a faculty member in 2015.

Teaching and Related Service

Landon is an advisor in the office of Teacher Preparation. She also teaches educator preparation courses in the areas of literacy, professional development, and special education.

Research and Creative Activity

Landon presented at the Region XVI ESC Cluster Assistive Technology Conference as well as the Region XI ESC Uniting to Serve All Learners Conference. Landon has served on Campus Improvement committees in area public schools. She is a member and past officer of Panhandle Region Speech/Hearing Association.

Personal Sketch

Landon lives in the area and enjoys time with family. She also enjoys training and mentoring teen leadership for a local children’s camp.
