Much Ado About Nothing

By William Shakespeare
Directed by Stephen Crandall
*KCACTF Associate Production

The joys and pitfalls of love are hilariously and poignantly explored in Shakespeare’s great romantic comedy! Don Pedro and his men return home from war to the lush estate of Leonato, governor of Messina, whose daughter Hero is in love with Claudio, one of the valiant heroes of the war. Don Pedro encourages and assists Claudio in wooing Hero, but also in tricking his obstinate friend Benedick into falling in love with Leonato’s equally obstinate niece Beatrice, neither of whom can stand each other! Hearts are stolen and broken and put back together, but as the title suggests, when the heart is involved, there is often Much Ado About Nothing!
