Professional Profile

Dr. Vatsa joined the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business in 2017. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Missouri - Columbia in 2017, an MS (Computer Science) and minor in Statistics from University Of Missouri, Columbia in 2015. He obtained his B.Tech (Information Technology) from V.B.S. Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, (U.P), India, in 2001. He worked as teaching and research assistant at University of Missouri – Columbia and worked as an assistant professor for more than ten years in several engineering colleges and universities in India. He had been member of academic and administrative bodies. During his teaching he had been coordinating many technical fests and national conference at college and university level. He has worked as software engineer in software industry. He has published more than fifty papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He is a member and reviewer on the editorial board of several international and national journals in computational biology, bioinformatics, networks and security field.

Teaching and Related Service

Dr. Vatsa teaches Object Oriented Analysis & Design, Cyber Security, and Low & High Dimensional Data Analytics.

Research and Creative Activity

Dr. Vatsa’s research interests include Low and High-Dimensional Data (Big Data) Analytics, Image Processing, Phenetics, MANET (Mobile Ad Hoc Network), Computer Network and Cyber Security.

Personal Sketch

Dr. Vatsa lives in a Amarillo TX with his wife Shobha and two children.  He enjoys gardening, yoga, swimming, and chess.
