Athletic Training Room and Eduction Laboratory  In September 2004, the University completed a renovation project within the Virgil Henson Activities Center that provided the Athletic Training Education Program with 2,500+ square feet of dedicated space to become the Athletic Training Education Program Laboratory. This new facility has provided the ATEP with a dedicated classroom that is adjacent to the new clinical education space, a teaching laboratory, and administrative office areas. 806-651-3644

Campus Map The First United Bank Center Athletic Training Room  The Event Center Athletic Training Room, approximately 750 square feet, provides the clinical education setting for the students assigned to the Approved Clinical Instructors working with the men's and women's basketball teams. 806-651-1411

Campus Map Kimbrough Memorial Stadium  The second-largest stadium in NCAA Division II, Kimbrough Memorial Stadium has a seating capacity of 20,000, which isn’t always enough. A Lone Star Conference record 23,276 fans packed the stadium for the homecoming game Oct. 13, 2007, a victory that helped propel the Buffs football team to a perfect 11-0 regular-season record.
The University’s live buffalo mascot, escorted by the Herdsmen, leads the Buffs out onto the field before each game.
The stadium features a synthetic, all-weather playing surface, and the scoreboard is equipped with a Daktronics ProStar high-definition large video screen, an updated version of the Sony JumboTron.
Besides WTAMU football, the stadium is used for high school football and soccer games and band competitions. Campus Map |
