Professional Profile

Ms. Amber Black worked in the banking industry for Wells Fargo, Citibank, First Capital Bank
of Texas, and Midsouth Bank before joining West Texas A&M University.  She earned her B.B.A. in marketing and M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from West Texas A&M University. 

Teaching and Related Service

Ms. Black teaches an introductory course in personal finance.

Research and Creative Activity

The research interest of Ms. Black include personal finance, business education, banking,
and real estate.  Her research publications include "Determinants of Compensation for Financial Planners" in the Southwestern Economic Review and "The Impact of Specialized Courses on Student Retention as Part of the Freshman Experience" in Academy of Educational Leadership Journal.
