Department of Agricultural Sciences Success Stories Teaching Excellence Award - Dr. Brock Blaser, assistant professor of plant science, was awarded a 2010 Teaching Excellence Award. He was recognized as a top teacher by the Texas A&M University system. This award is given to honor the top teachers as selected by students though evaluations created and administered by students. First Choice Award - This year the Department of Agricultural Sciences is proud to announce that the Spicer Gripp Youth Foundation is the winner of the 2010 First Choice Award. This prestigious award is given to recognize a person or a group that has succeeded in helping WTAMU to be a "First Choice" university. Horse Judging Team - The Horse Judging Team competes annually at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, OH, the American Quarterhorse Association (AQHA) World Championship Show and National Reining Horse Association (NHRA) Show, both in Oklahoma City, OK. The team has won all of these contests and in total have earned over 63 National or World Champion or Reserve Champion Team or individual awards. |
