    The Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities offers course work, laboratory preparation and real-life experience in humanities and fine arts. Students studying in fine arts and humanities departments can prepare for professional careers as performers, writers and critics, as well as for careers in university and public education.
    The college also offers a strong liberal arts foundation for students who wish to pursue traditional, broadly based university goals with emphasis in fine arts or humanities. A wide range of general courses is available for students seeking some background in fine arts and humanities while majoring in one of the University's other academic disciplines.
    The mission of the college is to nurture and maintain fine arts and humanities throughout the region through teaching, research, professional assistance and creative endeavor. Ultimately, the Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities exists to foster and preserve the art of human expression.

Fine Arts (FA)
 101. Art, Dance, Music, Theatre Interaction. Selected topics from visual and performing arts and how, through their diversity, they interact, promoting an understanding of creativity. Live performance and studio experience.(3 3 0)

 386. Cooperative Education. Supervised, paid work experience related to student's educational objectives. (1-3 0 0)

Bachelor of applied arts and science (B.A.A.S) degree

Major in applied arts and sciences ( major code: 601)

    This degree assumes completion of an associate of applied science degree at a community college or completion of an appropriate occupational certificate prior to starting work on the B.A.A.S degree at WTAMU. Included in this credit must be a block transfer of technical -vocational credits, up to a maximum of 48 hours. Additionally, hours of academic credit may be transferred along with the block to total 66 hours , the maximum number of hours accepted from a community college.
   Also required are completion of the core curriculum (49 hours) and fulfillment of other university requirements including 36 advanced hours, 30 in residence at wtamu, for a total of 130 semester hours with a minimum grade point average of 2.0. This degree includes a professional development core of 18-24 semester hours, specified through advisement and listed on the individual student's degree plan. At least 12 of these hours must be 300- and 400- level courses. The degree plan should be requested as soon as a student enters the B.A.A.S program.
