WT Women logo

WT Women was first organized in 1970 as “Faculty Wives.” At that time it was primarily a social organization for women who were homemakers and stay-at-home moms. The name was changed later to “Wives, Etc.”--the “Etcetera” was meant to include female faculty and staff as well as retired women who fell into these areas. It then evolved into “WT Women” which reflects what it is today, an organization of women who support and serve West Texas A&M University. With these changes, the need for a purely social organization changed and WT Women has focused more on being a university and community support organization.  If you would like more information, please contact WT Women at wtwomen@wtamu.edu.
