Chief of Staff and Assistant Vice President for Strategic Planning

Tracee Post started her career at West Texas A&M University in March of 2007 as the executive assistant to the president. She currently serves as chief of staff and assistant vice president for strategic planning. As the senior aide to the president, her responsibilities include general oversight and operation of the President’s Office and the coordination of initiatives as directed by the president in addition to the organization and management of the strategic planning process for the University. Since 2012, she also has served as the adviser to the President’s Ambassadors leadership program at WTAMU. Her professional experience prior to serving in higher education includes business management, sales management, workforce development and training, recruitment management and human resources.

She is a WT alumna, completing a Master of Arts degree in communication with leadership and corporate communication certification in August of 2014. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business with an emphasis in marketing from Emporia State University.

Post served as the committee chairperson of the scholarship committee with the WT Women organization. She completed her Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma at WTAMU. She currently serves on the board of directors for the National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education (NAPAHE). As a member of NAPAHE, Post also has served as the vice chair of the annual conference planning committee in addition to serving numerous years with the organization’s operations committee, content committee and communication committee. She is a graduate of the Leadership Amarillo Canyon and Leadership Texas programs. She also served as a committee member of Leadership Women in Amarillo and as a board member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals for several years.

She is happily married to husband, Rob; together they have a blended family with three teenage daughters and a golden retriever. Her personal interests include photography, reading and cooking.
