Dr. Barger held master classes for all the saxophone players at camp during the first three periods. First period included the concert band, junior honor band, and the junior symphonic band.

I'm guessing that these are white band flutes.
Back at Dr. Barger's master class, round three.
At 1:30 pm on Thursday, all of the ensembles perform for each other. I'm in the JBK Legacy Hall for the junior high assemblies. We begin with percussion ensemble 2 and Mr. Garcia.
Followed by percussion ensemble 1 with Mr. Switzer.
Flute ensemble 2 and Mrs. Cardenas.
Flute ensemble 2 with Ms. Frazier.
Mr. Nuckols and his trombone ensemble.
The double reed ensemble. Mr. Doege is their director.
Mr. McMillan conducted the horn ensemble.
Next onto the stage were the trumpets. Mr. Lafferty work with them this week.
Clarinet 3 and Mrs. Loudenback.
Clarinet 2 and Mr. Ward.
Clarinet 1 and Mr. Swails.
Mr. Lefevre and the saxophones.
And the last group is the tuba/euphonium ensemble led by Mr. De La Garza.
Meanwhile, the high school ensembles performed in Northen Recital Hall. Here is Dr. Loudenback and the saxophones.
The tubas and euphoniums display their instruments at the foot of the stage. Euphoniums on the right...
...tubas on the left. That's a LOT of metal!
Saxophone ensemble 1. Mr. Yett conducts this group.
My wife wanted me to video her clarinet ensemble, so I missed the photo.
Again, the last ensemble is the tuba/euph. Mr. Strahan was their conductor.
The camp faculty rehearse at 3:30 and then perform for the camp on Friday's 3 pm assembly. They do the first for the junior high and the second for the high school students since Northen Recital Hall can only hold about 500.
Dr. Barger performed John Williams, Escapades. [I mention that Dr. Bhoeme stood beside him and was totally in sync in the really fast passages.] Thank you, Tarpley Music Company, for sponsoring Dr. Barger's residency this week.
Mr. Rivera and Dr. Teweleit sent me some marching band photos.
Let's pause for today and get a fresh start tomorrow morning.
